Stages For Success

A few years ago I launched my Stages for Success Initiative because I believe that every kid deserves a chance to sing out!  We are working with the best theater designers and construction companies to modernize public school auditoriums, bringing much needed improvements to outdated and dysfunctional spaces. I’m thrilled to present our newest and just completed project: an awe-inspiring performing arts high school in Fort Greene, Brooklyn that was in desperate need of a major renovation. Here’s a time-lapse video of this year’s spectacular auditorium transformation.

I’ve seen young lives transformed when they are given the opportunity for creative expression in a stimulating environment, and the benefits are profound: teamwork and sense of community, improved academic achievement and discipline, reading and language skills, confidence and self-esteem. Why just look what it’s done for me!

With deepest gratitude for your generosity and support!

Bette and a whole lot of very excited kids
